- No one taught me either.
No one taught me either.
Because what you don’t repair, you repeat.
Hola friends,
Today, my son Nate turns 15. And while we’re celebrating with food, laughs, and family, we’re also doing something else: opening his first Roth IRA.
Let me be clear, no one taught me this growing up. I didn’t learn this in school. I didn’t see it in my neighborhood. But I chose to learn. I chose to change the story.
Now, I get to pass that on to my son.
And here's the truth: you don’t need to know everything to start. You just need to stop waiting for someone else to teach you.
That moment can be today.
Because what you don’t repair, you repeat.
Some of you reading this are raising kids while still healing your own financial foundation. I see you. I am you.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about one brave step at a time. With truth, not shame.
So maybe today, your version of a Roth IRA is checking your account balance without flinching. Or saying no to that impulse buy. Or opening that spreadsheet. That counts.
You’re building something too. And it’s worth celebrating.
If you need a place to start, here are three simple steps:
Do a quick financial health check.
Not the long, overwhelming kind. Just ask: What’s working with my money? What’s not? What am I avoiding?Set one small goal for the week.
It might be updating a budget, reviewing one account, or saying no to something that drains your money and your peace.Choose one belief to release.
That could be "I’ll never get ahead" or "It’s too late for me." Let that go and replace it with "I can do this, one step at a time."
Your story doesn’t have to repeat what you saw growing up. It can reflect what you're learning now.
And that, right there, is wealth renewed.
